Kite Threads is a KiteConnect publication devoted to stories, ideas and culture about human connection: friendship, family, encounters, memory and intimacy.
At KiteConnect, a kite is a personal message sent with intention. This magazine grows out of the same idea: making room for what needs time to be said well.
What you're looking at is a sample edition. All the essays, stories and poems are original example texts, meant to show the tone and shape of the publication.

Editorial principles
- Care
- We write to keep people company, not to make promises. We offer no formulas and no therapeutic solutions.
- Sources
- When a text analyses data or research, it will cite verifiable sources. Where there are none, it is presented as opinion.
- Consent
- Real stories are only published with the explicit permission of the people who lived them.
- Fiction, clearly labelled
- Every invented story is visibly marked as such.
- Human voice
- Tools can help, but they don't replace the voices of the people who write and read.
